The Tale of Daerenica: Part 1 – The Fall and Rise of Daerenica
Daerenica was a High Priestess of the Kingdom of Jorshah, and a close confident of its King Otto. But she had more humble beginnings. Daerenica was born in the outer frontier lands of Jorshah, the daughter and only child of a poor farmer. Daerenica’s mother had died when she was a young child, and so for most of her childhood, she grew up with only her father. The two struggled to survive, as did anyone who lived in the harsh frontier. Like anyone in the world of Aegor, the threat of orcs and goblins always loomed, and Daerenica grew up in a time before the alliance was forged between the orcs and Jorshah. So she and her father lived with the constant fear that goblin or orc raiders would find their farm and pillage it, taking away all the livestock and her. But the one advantage of the frontier was that the population was so small and dispersed that orcs and goblins did not frequently target it. It was more efficient for them to target villages or cities. And so Daerenica and her father were lucky and orcs and goblins never raided their farm.
But when she was a teenager, Daerenica’s and her father’s luck ran out. Except the invaders that came to their farm were not orcs or goblins. Rather, it was men from the Cult of Ug’dromon, a radical and violent religious sect in Jorshah that worshiped an ancient god named Ug’dromon. Most of the population on Jorshah and Aegor considered Ug’dromon to be a demon and its followers dangerous and fanatical. The Cult of Ug’dromon had many extreme religious rites and rituals, many of which involved the violent sacrifice of captured women. Under the beliefs of the cult, such women would become the slaves of Ug’dromon in the afterlife and Ug’dromon would reward his adherents for their offerings. The Cult of Ug’dromon had both men (priests) and women (priestesses) and women who served Ug’dromon faithfully were rewarded in the afterlife by getting to serve as wives of Ug’dromon for all eternity. The leader of the cult was always a priestess, the High Priestess.
When four priests of the Cult of Ug’dromon showed up at Daerenica’s farm, her father tried desperately to protect his daughter, knowing that they intended to sacrifice her. But the cultists outnumbered and overpowered the farmer and grabbed Daerenica. The cultists pushed her to her hands and knees, beating her with a wooden cane until she was a wailing, sobbing mess. “Alright, let’s fuck this bitch. I bet she is a virgin!” one of the cultists called out to his friends. Unfortunately for Daerenica, the cult did not believe that Ug’dromon cared whether his slaves arrived as virgins and so keeping her virginity intact was not important. The priests and priestesses enjoyed having fun with their captives before they sacrificed them.
Daerenica was no pushover and she struggled valiantly against her rapists. She was indeed a virgin and she had no intent of giving it up to these vile men. She kicked and scratched at them, but just like they had done to her father, the men easily overpowered her. The first man positioned himself behind her and with one hard thrust, he rammed himself into her, tearing away her virginity. She cried out in pain, her eyes widening in shock. The 2nd man stood in front of grabbing her hair. “If you even think of biting my cock, we will kill your father,” he warned and then pushed his cock past her lips into her mouth.

Now impaled on both ends, Daerenica knelt helplessly as one man rammed her pussy and the other rammed her throat, plunging in and out of her until they each grunted and dumped their cum in her. When they were done, the two other cultists took their place. When all four had filled their lust in the girl, they killed her father anyway. Daerenica balled as her father’s throat was slit and he fell to the ground, gasping as he died. One of her rapists offered her empty consolation. “Worry not, girl, soon your troubles will be forgotten. For you will be sacrificed to the Mighty Ug’dromon and you shall spend your eternal afterlife as his slave. A great honor indeed.” The men dragged the sobbing girl off, back to the Talmot Forest where the cult had its hidden temple.
Daerenica was given to one of the cult’s priestesses and after she was bathed and placed in ceremonials silks, she was led to an alter to be sacrificed in a blood ritual. Except when the priestess lifted the girl’s throat to slit it, she noticed the birth mark on her neck. A birthmark that vaguely resembled a horned head. The Priestess dropped the knife. For generations, the cult had believed in a prophecy that a priestess with the “Mark of Ug’dromon” on her flesh was the chosen one that would lead the cult to glory and spread their religion across all of Aegor.
In that moment, Daerenica went from being an intended sacrifice to being a holy figure. And while that saved her life, it did not make the next few months of her life easy. For Daerenica was not an adherent of the Cult of Ug’dromon. And she despised these people who had raped her and killed her father. So she resisted them fiercely and they had to break down the girl and remold her. Daerenica spent nearly a year being “purified.” She suffered constant torture and abuse, intended to strip her of her resistance to the cult. She was harshly whipped by the priestesses on a daily basis.
She was forced to do back-breaking labor, as a virtual slave.
She was used sexually by both the priests and priestesses of the cult.
She was beaten by the priestesses for the slightest transgression.
After a year had passed, Daerenica had been stripped completely of her old self and accepted the ways of the cult. She was rebuilt and taught the ways of the Cult of Ug’dromon and trained in in their rituals. For several years, she was a faithful priestess and she buried herself in the teachings of the cult. Until the time came that she was ready to challenge the Head Priestess of the cult. The woman was bested by Daerenica in hand-to-hand combat and dragged by Daerenica to the alter and scarified in the same blood ritual that had once been intended for Daerenica.
And in that moment, Daerenica became the Head Priestess and the leader of the Cult of Ug’dromon. In the years that passed, Daerenica’s influence only grew. Though the Cult of Ug’dromon was hated by almost everyone in the kingdom of Jorshah, the ambitious High Priestess departed their hidden forest temple and travelled to the capitol where she presented herself to King Otto. And she convinced him of the same prophecy that had spared her from being sacrificed years ago. Daerenica convinced the king that she was destined to open a portal to the fabled land of the elves, the world of Elevosia. The elves had immense magical knowledge and power and if Daerenica could acquire those powers, would be able to proselytize and convert the people of Aegor to the teachings of the Cult of Ug’dromon. But she could also use those powers to increase King Otto’s power until he could conquer all of Aegor, even the lands held by the orcs. It was unthinkable that the humans could ever defeat the orcs, but Ug’dromon and the magic of the elves provided that path. And so began the partnership between Otto and Daerenica and their mutual quest to open the portal to Elevosia, the land of the elves.

Well, you've certainly delivered on your promise to delve into Daerenica's religion! No doubt it was the magical side-effects of all those rituals that made her skin and hair change colour four times during her time with the cult... :)
ReplyDeleteThis story establishes Otto and Daerenica as much more credible rivals to Grimnor - previously they'd looked more like a speedbump - and I'm really interested in seeing how the three-way struggle between the orcs, the elves, and the cult of Ug'dromon evolves as the story moves forwards. I take it the two dark-haired priestesses enslaved by Vagrat's goblins were Ug'dromon cultists, then? I wonder how they're adjusting to their new lives...
Haha, well I only have so many MercyMagnet works depicting humans so I had to work with what I've got. The different hair color and skin tone is just a trick of the sunlight and camera filters...
DeleteYep, the priestesses captured by Vagrat were Ug'dromon priestesses. They are very slowly but surely adjusting to their new lives as slaves, I am sure.
Stay tuned, the next chapter will be posted Friday!
Of course they are. ;)
Delete(In Miriella's story, I was actually pretty impressed by how consistent you managed to keep her 'platinum-blonde elf with high ponytail' look throughout...)
I'll look forward to the next installment, then!
