Choose Your Own Adventure C47
You look sympathetically at poor Rosalind. You know you would do the same for your own family member. But there is no way you can risk capture by the orcs by trying to secretly follow them to see where they take Ophilia. You whisper farewell to Rosalind and you slip away, moving away quickly, wanting to put as much distance between you and the orcs as possible.
At this point you have no idea where to go. But you know this forest has too many goblins and orcs and even dangerous humans. You need to get out of this forest. All you can do is walk blindly and hope you reach the edge of the forest. You walk the better part of the day. You are tired but you keep going. Once the sun falls you can rest, you decide.
And then your foot is caught in the snare. You scream when the trap is engaged and the rope tightens around your ankle and suddenly you are pulled into the air, suspended upside under a tree. You wail in dismay as you sway in the air, a sharp pain in your ankle. You try to pull your body up to reach your ankle so that you can try to free yourself. But suspended upside like you are, you do not have the strength or flexibility to reach your ankle. You are completely helpless.
As you remain suspended upside down, you wonder who set the trap. A few hours later, you learn it was orcs. They come to check the trap and cheer when the see what they have caught. You are pulled down from the traps. You limp on your sprained ankle as the orcs lead you away.
