Choose Your Own Adventure B22
You decide to look for Rosalind and head west. You find a road that seems to be traversing in that direction and so you take that. You see no sign of the girl and you are not sure how long you should walk and keep looking. The forest is big; she could be anywhere. Perhaps she even doubled back to head back to her city. You start to think that would have been the right decision for you, to head there. But then you hear it. Faint cries. The sound of someone in distress. You move in that direction. Very cautiously. As the cries grow louder, you grow more nervous. Whether it is orcs, outlaws, or other dangerous persons, you do not want to run into them. But if Rosalind is in distress, you need to know. So you can at least let Ophilia know, even if you are unable to help Rosalind.
The sounds of distress grow louder. You are close. You can tell it is more than one female. And there are shouts from a woman or girl as wells as cries. You reach a row of bushes and crouch down behind them. You peer through the bushes and you see the source of the commotion. A man with two captives. But the captives are not human. They are orcs! Young female orcs! You have never even seen a female orc before right now. The orcs kept their females in camps, closely guarded. But this human man has two of them captive. Both the orcs are stripped naked. One is gagged, and her arms are locked in some kind of slave yoke. The man is leading her with a chain attached in the yoke. She is shouting angrily but her words are muffled and indecipherable from her gag. The man has the other one gripped by her hair. She looks younger. Her wrists are bound. She is pleading, clearly more afraid than angry, unlike the angry gagged one.
"I am gonna be the only one in the crew with orc cunt slaves," the man says gleefully. This makes the older one start to shout more angrily through her gag and the younger one started to cry.
You actually feel sorry for them. Stripped and in bondage, they seem like... well, the women and girls you have seen captured by orcs. They are vulnerable and scared.
But still, they are orcs. You just risked your life to help Ophilia, and you were very lucky to leave that unscathed. It would be foolish to do the same for these female orcs. But perhaps you should at least follow them, to see where the man is taking them. He mentioned his crew. You wonder if this man is another outlaw. And if the outlaws grabbed Rosalind too, maybe you should see where this man goes. But if there are outlaws about in the forest, this is very dangerous. The last thing you want to do is end up like these female orcs. You are not willing to sacrifice your own freedom to help a princess you never met of a queen you barely know. What should you do?
